Turtwig is a male Russian tortoise I bought from PetSmart a year ago. He lives outside in a little secure enclosure I made for him in my four-leaf clover bed complete with a small pool, a hibiscus plant for shade and food, and a burrow I dug out for him to escape the heat of day and cold of winter. He only comes inside with me when the weather is too extreme.

Cute, isn't he?

Yep, he's a russian tort.8-) I love torts more than turts. theyre easier to keep in my opinion, only cuz i have the means ot provide real sunlight in an outdoor place instead of artificial sunlight cuz, let's face it- there's really no such substitute for sun rays.

i let mine roam in the backyard then bring her in at night. my siblings have a "turtle hunt" because shes soooooo good at hiding.
