King Terror

This, my friends, is a Terror dragon...just in a legendary color morph bred only by royalty, known as a King Terror (similar to the "king" cheetah).

Well, as you all know, Terrors are the fastest dragons known anywhere. Everything about their anatomical design was made solely for the purpose of flight and running. But that is besides the point...

This mostly black color morph is due to a rare recessive gene that is passed on by both parents, but only happens ever so often. And it is only male Terrors that can be hatched into this rare morph. A normal male Terror that is a heterozygote, or a carrier for the gene can produce male offspring that are born as kings should the female be a carrier as well. Kings can produce more kings ONLY if bred to a carrier female. If bred to a normal female, the offspring will either be normal or carriers of the gene.

As mentioned earlier, only Archean royalty has bred this morph carefully for generations, as they would often delight in using them as sight dragons when on the hunt for food. A burlap sac or cloth would be placed over the dragon's heads as to cause it less stress, much like placing bags over an ostrich or a hood over a cheetah or a falcon.

The "King" gene was feared to be lost during the Archean Genocide, but some how Stash has unknowingly bred two carrier parents of this now rare species. Presenting to you for the first time in over many a millenia, the first King Terror has been born!!
