Iris And Calypso's Integration

A gift I made for Shadow-Aspect. It's somethin' I've wanted to do for a few months, actually.

Andy and Vi's baby Terror dragon, or Toryn, chicks, Iris and Calypso, have never seen other dragons before, let alone their own kind as they are rare. So they brought them to the FB Academy where I keep a few individuals (captive-bred and wild) for the breeding program. Here, they are first introduced to my resident female, Gaia, and her only male offspring, Obi, sired by the last wild male captured, Ob. As you can tell, the blue eyed Iris is not shy to raise her head up to investigate the month older chick and his mother. Calypso, however, is pretty meek, sticking close to her more adventurous sister. Don't worry, folks. These chicks will soon learn their way into the pecking order the more they progress into what I like to call 'dragon school'.

Note- all toryn chicks have stripings on their bodies two days after hatching. They will lose only a few as they mature, with males having the most, and will gain some on their legs too. In some cases, like Calypso, her's will either stay gray, or will fade away completely, causing her to be a beautiful white color. Her sister, Iris, will probably keep some of her stripes. Each dragon is an individual, and all have their own striped patterns, though a small percentage of females lack stripes. Obi is also the first male Terror hatched in over a milenia.
